| For the past 20 years, Hye-Ryoung has made more than 40 documentaries for South Korea’s major broadcasters, KBS, MBC, and SBS. Her forte is in human- interest documentaries as she takes on an anthropological approach to the people she encounters within their social and cultural context. Her depth of storytelling is seen in the way that she continues to document over many years, the stories of people embedded in their traditional way of life in a modernizing world. Her feature-length documentary film premiered at the Hot Docs in 2019. |
